Personal Book Club

It began when a favorite customer gave her favorite aunt a special gift—one book, every month, for a year. Rather than picking, packing, and shipping the books herself, she arranged for us to do it. We picked books she would like and sent them to her. That inspired our "Aunt Lydia" Personal Book Club.

You can personalize your Aunt Lydia gift to fit the gift recipient. People who love to travel can be given the gift of a new work of travel literature every month or two months. Fiction lovers can be sent fiction, mystery lovers the latest thrillers, and history buffs the finest of new historical writing. For more information on how to sign-up for the Aunt Lydia Program call (415) 927-0960, ext 227, or email Aunt Lydia Club Coordinator Mary Benham: auntlydia@bookpassage.com and she'll get right to work for your favorite aunt. If you're ready to sign up now, fill out the form below. You may also drop the registration form off at the store. Thanks!

Signed First Editions Club

For Booklovers & Book Collectors: Members of the Signed First Editions Club receive a signed first edition each month of a new work of fiction by an emerging author who we feel shows exceptional talent and promise. Many of our selected authors have gone on to win literary acclaim, among them Andrew Sean Greer, Daniel Alarcon, Nicole Krauss, Yiyun Li, Kiran Desai (2006 Booker Prize), and Junot Diaz (2007 Pulitzer), and their books have increased in value. Recent favorites include The Story of Edgar Sawtelle by David Wroblewski, Rachel Kushner’s Telex from Cuba (a 2008 National Book Award finalist), and Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese. We can’t promise award winners every time, but we can promise you some great reading! To sign up, or for more information, call Signed First Editions Club Coordinator, Mary Benham, at (415) 927-0960, ext 227 or email mbenham@bookpassage.com.
