Green Jolene and the Footprint Fixers (Disney Planet Possible)
Description
The third in an illustrated chapter book series about budding conservationist Green Jolene, who saves the planet by starting in her own neighborhood, by New York Times best-selling author Wendy Mass.
It all began (as the best stories do) in the local library!
Ever since Green Jolene and discovered a book all about energy conservation, Jolene has been obssesed with reducing her carbon footprint within her home. But when she learns of a local-cement factory's polluting the environment, Jolene realizes that she must use her voice and speak up. She knows the power of her community! Isn’t there something they can do? Protest!
Eugene, Brittany, and Nina show the power of collective action, demanding a meeting with the head of the factory, to convince him to agree to green iniativies to reduce the business’s—and ultimately the town’s—carbon footprint. For fans of Ivy & Bean and Clementine, our can-do hero, Green Jolene, returns with more discoveries of how to take an Earth-first approach to every problem she encounters, proving that small changes can go a very long way.
